Here’s a quick guide that will explain how you install OPPO in just a few seconds.

Step 1

1. Enable unknown sources

For OPPO to install, you have to allow apps from unknown sources. To do so, open the SETTINGS of your device, scroll down and tap on SECURITY. Scroll down again to find UNKNOWN SOURCES and allow the installation of apps other than the Play Store.
Your phone or tablet will ask you to confirm. Tap on OK to do so.

Step 2

Download the app

Download the free app from this website with your mobile device. It’s fully functional and you can use it for as long as you like.

Step 3

Install the app

As soon as the download is complete, pull down your notification screen and tap on the download notification.

Step 4

Your phone or tablet will ask you to confirm the requirements that OPPO app needs, such as network access. Tap on INSTALL and you're all set :)

Oppo is not intended to replace key workers/therapists. In the event of experiencing distress, service users should either contact their key workers, their GP, or attend their local emergency department.

Oppo is part of an ongoing UCC study to give clinicians an insight into how service users use apps. If you choose to participate in the study, information will be collected on: time spent using Oppo and its functions, and the names you choose to give to your individual scales. Personal diary entries, uploaded photos, and numbers used on scales will not be collected, although it will be noted when these functions are used, and how long they are used for. In order to partake in this study you must be over 18.

Because you access Oppo with a username and you do not enter your name, information you enter is confidential and cannot be linked back to you. If you have any concerns, please contact the researcher: john.goodwin@ucc.ie.
